Chaco's IS3
Its been a while since I posted in here but i wanna catch you guys up since my last thread
Newbie NELOC thread
Well finally I decided to get this thing outta the garage and into my car finally
Here are a few parts I picked up over the past few months before the swap
Greddy Profec B
Tial 50mm
SRT 3" Exhaust with Vibrant Muffler
A little powder coat action
Koyo Rad
Battery Relocation
Greddy EMU
I obviously didn't take a picture of every product but you'll see the parts list soon. Then one weekend I decided to pull the trigger on the project and began to tear down my motor and put the GTE in. Since battery was in the trunk I moved the ABS to make room for the turbos.
After a few hours the motor was in!
I then took my car to my buddy's shop to finish up
More powdercoating
Then we got all the wiring done and tucked some little things here n there, setup up the EMU and mounted it on the panel on the steering column. Finished relocating the power steering, fab'ed up bracket and now it sits right next to the brake booster. Got half of the intercooler piping done, this swap has been a tight fit since the beginning so of course i still encounter tight fits, had to trim some things here there for intercooler piping to fit, passenger side is mocked up and tomorrow i will tackle the driver side. I got my piping from a previous owner that had done this swap to his car, i have no idea how he ran a 3 inch from the TB below, extremely tight fit, but we'll see how things go.
Gauges
I decided to ditch the crash bar mount idea and used a piece of steel, a lot better seeing how the cwest doesn't allow a crash bar.
After all the gauges, intercooler, exhaust, basemaps she was ready for a start, and it started on the first turn but i ran into throttle body issues and ended up having to get a new throttle body. Luckily that solved all my problems.
Heres a short clip:
Yes the intercooler is off centered a little bit but thats an easy fix.
And how she sits today
Gonna get it tuned this week, and my GTE project will finally come to an end.....for now

Looks good man, glad everything worked out for ya... having done both in the past 6 months, I would choose to build the stock motor way before I would do another Aristo swap...
I've had fewer issues with my build than my brothers, and there is far less stuff that has to happen to build and turbo the factory motor, in comparison to swapping in the Aristo motor...

Just a little update, car runs and is driveable. Just have to keep out of boost until i get an actual tune. Put in an Aristo down pipe gasket and works great, but i think i still have an exhaust leak coming from the manifold, but it isn't that bad. Hopefully it will get tuned middle of this week.
Just a teaser of my next project
