Default New mods

So, I'm looking to start modding my is300 that I've had for about a month and half now. I'm thinking of starting with new headers and exhaust. Not sure what to get though that will improve the performance as well as sound good. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I don't think bolt ons is going to make a big different if you are looking for a big gain IMO! It will look and sound better but there will be no big gain! I haven't done much to my IS but just catback and joez with blitz and I must say is not much different! I guess there is srt intake, Daniel mazzui headers if you can find one! If anything put your money in a good suspension and that will be money well spend!

Boosting is a long distance away for me!! But if anything I would say Joe Z pipe and a drop in was the most bang for your bucks at least for me!!

I think the Joe Z pipe sounds good. I would spend money on suspension and leave the motor a lone until you have the funds. My IS is stock minus the Apex'i exhaust. It's a great car just to drive.

I haven't been able to find a Joe Z pipe, are they expensive? what would you recommend as far as suspension goes?

if you plan on turboing it, don't worry about anything else, as it will all be wasted money...

I agree with skitso above, these are great cars to drive, mine is stock, plus a built turbo motor...

You can start with getting some coilovers then some sway bars. You can go a cheaper route and go with springs but in the end you'll ultimately upgrade to coils

^ what he said. Coils are a cheap way to get rid of some gap, but once you start to push your car on curves and corners, your junk will rub if you're running anything other than stock. I wish I had just gone straight to coilovers.

I have springs on my car that dropped it an inch plus... Nothing rubs in any fashion and it hasn't sagged either. I wish it was a hair lower though.

I've got intake header exhaust not a lot of gain but I like it. I plan on turbo later but i disagree with the don't put anything until u turbo the money I spent will only counter with the header. Do the little bolt ons it will make you feel better and you won't lose out on a lot of money imo.
