I need a new or rebuilt tranny . Dealer quoted 3500....I can't do that. Where cab you get one? Anyone used a good shop in san Diego or phx areas. My buddy is a Toyota tech he said if I find it became do it cheap.

There is a huge lexus junk yard near anthem. I'm sure you can find an auto tranny there and install it yourself. It might even fit in your trunk.

car-part.com and search for used transmissions... chances are you will find them for anywhere from $200 on up...

they aren't too bad to swap, even with just jackstands and basic tools...
