In-dash DVD unit
I'm looking to rip out the stock sound system in my is300 and replace it with an in-dash dvd/cd player. I have a Pioneer in-dash unit I'm interested in but I was wondering what some other people have used that look/function good... Any suggestions?!?

Yeah, I personally like Alpine better but the only in-dash Alpine I found was like $1,100 and I'm not trying to spend that much. I'm more in the $4-600 range

i am an autotech at best buy, we just got a pretty sick kenwood double din, its 7" screen with all the add ons you would expect and its only 499. i was thinking about getting it myself but i ended up buying wheels instead. its Model: DDX719
SKU: 4769463
if you go to bestbuy.com and type in that sku it will pull it right up

I have the pioneer avic z130bt & i love the unit, but it's made to work with the iphone which i have... so if you have an iphone i strongly recommend this unit!! But it is a little pricy... the cheapest i've seen it is $800, it usually runs about $1,100.

I'll check out the kenwood. The pioneer I'm looking at is the avh-p4400. I like the gps units but most of them are a little pricey. If I could find a deal on eBay or something I'd get one. I have an 02, would rewiring be necessary? How difficult is installation?

i have a Pioneer AVIC dvd, navi, ipod etc. i had a kenwood unit before but i think it was a lemon.
if you plan on replacing your headunit you should also consider replacing all your interior speakers and adding a amp. go all the way. the sound quality will be so much better.

Yeah, I have two 12 in. Kickers from my old car I thought about putting in but I don't want to turn it into a rattle box. Anyone have subs and know whether they create much rattling? Any speaker suggestions? I would like some Alpine speakers but am not looking to spend a **** ton. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck.
