Default should I get a TomTom Nav?

My sister and brother both have navigation units and its pretty handy, so I'm thinking about getting one. I think they both have Tomtoms, should I go for that or do you have any suggestions?

I've got a pioneer double din with nav. I got mine for a steal, i'd go that route if I were you. Honestly, I never use mine, If you've got a smart phone, you're already good.

magellan1700 series7 inch is nice since it's nice and big quick to set up, also doubles as a back up camera screen if you buy additional parts and you can get a refrub for $99 it can also be custom fitted into a is300 factory navigation location with a little work.

I had garmins in the past andwas reluctant to try Magellan, but honestly I can say I prefer Magellan, faster gps connection, bigger screen, good price $99 from amazon. and with back up camera option putsthis to the top of my list. also has a decent lane assist.

It's not like the manuals are from Ikea, I got it working perfectly within 10 minutes max.... I don't understand why you had issues, I installed one in my friend's car as well, no problems what so ever. Also I'm by far not a professional installer.
