transmission fluid change vs flush ?!?
I have 2004 IS with 126k. My transmission oil needs to be changed but I dont know if I should flush or just change my fluid.
I know that just changing the fluid will only replace like 4 to 5 quarts of fluid. I want to do a flush so I can clean out all the fluid. The lexus dealership told me they recommended just a fluid change. My friend who is a mechanic said a transmission flush. I thought I ask club Lexus since yall may have more experience.
Flush or fluid change, and why?

when everyone is referring to a flush - do you mean flushing with a machine?
i followed this guide and installed a tranny cooler and inline mag filter at the same time.
http://my.is/forums/f221/diy-automat...-flush-406503/
end result was all positive (clean fluid in the system and smooth shifting) - but granted there was only 30k on the car after i bought it used.
I dont see the harm in getting clean fluid into the system without the use of a machine. Someone please correct me if i am mis-speaking.
