So I finally started up my car again with a new battery (battery 3 years, car start up since November). I tested the codes again and they were cleared. Started it up, tested it on the road, then it started choking and shaking again at a complete stop. BUT, I OBDII code reader again and now this one popped up. P1349: VVT malfunction. Now I read about it and only problem is, didn't quite understand the symptoms of it (didn't explain much about it). So would anyone know the symptoms?

Sounds like a problem i recently had on my 01. Car started to shake like crazy, basically just like yours. I brought it to my mechanic and i ended up having to change a vvti sensor. Not sure which one cause i forgot to ask but i definitely changed a sensor in the vvti

i am a toyota certified technician and there is no way to tell for sure but to me it sounds like a throttle body issue or possible ecm issue
