no just bypass the amp. i have a alpine unit in my car, no amp for the door speakers and it sounds fine, even better than the factory amp, but you must remove the factory amp

you do not need to ad an amplifier to replace the factory deck.

most times you can integrate with the factory amp, and about half the time when you do this it will sound fine, the other half may result in terrible sound.

you can run off of aftermarket head unit power which is usually 15-20w rms per channel.

you will want to buy a new amp for the subwoofer.

now which amp do you buy? this depends on the quality of sound, volume you want, and budget you have for said equipment.
first question i have for you is... how much do you want to spend? then how loud doyou want it? and lastly is sound quality important to you?

answer these and i will show you some options.

We also have a solution to change out factory head unit to an aftermarket one using a plug and play adapter to retain use of factory amplifier and factory navigation. It also comes with a JDM Toyota factory Altezza dash kit. You can check it out here: http://www.beatsonicusa.com/beat-sonic-sla-91.html

We had some CL members purchase these with great results.

Let me know if you have any questions!

for your factory speakers the factory amp would be best. i would reccomend first trying it out and see if it sounds good enough to you. depending on the kenwood deck you have, you might have a whole lot of control at your fingertips which will make running low level into your amp a lot easier especially with that harness from beatsonic.

if you get it in and dont like it.. there is always plan b.
