man, id do it ASAP and keep it garaged until paperwork is complete. I almost swapped my is300 for a RHD Supra but actually talked with the guy and fund out he was not the importer so I did not want to risk it. You need a lot of paperwork for this. My buddy has a Skyline R33 registered, and titled and through progressive. he drives it around and not 1 issue or run in with any cops..

lol, JDM site? You're three years late on that one... There's only 32845630945 importers for parts on the net.
You wont be able to get a 98 aristo, since its too new, i'm pretty sure the same rule goes for the US as canada, 15+ yo to import.
I wouldn't trade for that Supra, IS300 worth more.

Man I would love to get my hands on JDM car but I thought that they could only be state legal and not fed legal? I would be to scared that it would get taken away like the skylines.

^ im not doubting you. I live in canada... I see more done up JDM cars at weekly meets than normal cars since they're stupid cheap.
Which is why i'm saying get a TT while you're at it since it'll be a few G's more now, but less than a full blown GTE swap.
And unfortunately, i know this market well, since i know a guy that used to sell JDM stuff, and it isn't worth since you have too much competition. There's lots full of front clips sitting there since they don't sell. Odds and ends are worth nothing - turbo low mileage motors - yes, you have a market.
A LHD supra is a collector car. A JDM one is not. I wish i had a pic, there was a club of 8-9 lined up in a row at one meet this summer. I live in a city of 1M people... I love supra's - i don't like RHD, and its harder to sell. THere's a reason a rhd goes for sub 18k [tt] and a LHD high miler will fetch 22k+
But whatever, i'm not gonna kill your dreams.

i think your crazy because all you really want is the RHD (since you seem to be repeating it alot in your post).
lol, JK if its something you really want to do then go for it. Hassle or not, if it truely is your "dream car" then jump on it. then again, if your patient enough maybe you could let this one go, wait for the old man to bring in another supra(hopefully this time around, a TT with manual trans) and snag that one up.

Yeah I always wanted a supra, and I always wanted rhd.. so it's perfect for me
But you're right. I won't be super depressed if this one passes through my fingers.
