Default what size tires should i go?

Im getting a set of LMs this weekend. I was wondering what size tires would look good with it The specs are 18x8 +38 and 18x9 +42. I was thinking 215/40 and 225/35 but Im not sure if i should or not. WOuld the specs of these wheels look good on a IS300?

too small, i'd go 235 in front and 255 in back based off those wheels. too much stretch is no good.

225/40 for fronts
245/35 for rears so speedo won't be too far off.

If ur going 65 mph on 215/45/17:

you'll be going 65.35 mph on the 245/35/18; 67.07 mph on 235/40/18.

this is true, plus the 235/40/18 probably won't rub with that offset. Hell, i have 235/40/18s on 18x8.5 rims on my IS.
