About code P1346
2000 Toyota Altezza (New Zealand) which is same as IS200, with engine 1G-FE.
I replaced the engine, changing timing belt kit and installing the engine in the car. start the car, runs smooth but then check engine on, scan it, shows P1346 code which is VVT sensor/camshaft sensor performance (bank 1).
I checked the timing, seems to me was alright. change camshaft sensor and ECU (used one) still same problem. I took it to Toyota, they cleaned VVT filter (which i have doubt that it was dirty) and check VVT solenoid opertion was ok. still P1346 there. any idea?

I have a 2001 is300 but I have that code too! car runs like **** at idle every once and a while and this is very upsetting. HELP! traction control is blinking at me as well.

My stock 01 IS300 with 180k began having a rough idle with loss of vacuum causing power brakes not to work. The Trac Off light was flashing, but no CEL. The rough idle and sputtering would come and go. It ran fine at higher RPMs.
I ran the codes and got P1346 Bank 1 and P0161 Bank 2 Sensor 2. Well, it ended up being the OCV. I changed it with OEM part 15330-46011 which I found for $83.95 off "feebay". It was 10 minute swap and the car is now running perfectly.
I just wanted to share since I got a little worried after reading threads that stated P1346 means the timing belt has slipped. I see that the OCV is usually accompanied by P1349, rather than P1346. In my case P1346 seems to have been triggered by the OCV. The car is running perfectly now.
Hope this helps someone along the way.
