DON'T DO A HIGHER FUSE!you have a serious problem there.you might have a wire touching or something is grounding.

Are you leaving anything plugged in to the port for a long period of time? I've blown this fuse out several times, the key is to unplug anything connected if the car is off and don't leave devices plugged in for long periods of time. I fixed mine for the third time a couple weeks ago and haven't had any problems since. Oh and clean all the connections w/ rubbing alcohol and the battery disconnected!

Nope, just plug in and it blows right away.

is the fuse just in the box under the hood? I had a penny stuck in mine and it natually doesn't work anymore. I've been meaning to fix it, but turns out I'm pretty lazy.

There fuse is on the drivers side kick panel.
15amp one, but also check the passengers side too.
Read the manual showing another one there for the power outlet with a 7.5amp
