Default An introduction and quick story!!

Hey everyone!
Last night, I bought a 2002 IS 300 sport cross. Auto, 92k. Its Red and its pretty awesome. lol. I just wanted to say, "hello!". Since Im going to be lurking here for a while.

90k service is being performed next week under my agreement.

Is funny because I joined this club months ago. At the time, I was looking into a buddys GS400 he was selling. Financially, I just couldnt swing it and he ended up trading it instead of waiting on me. So, lots of time passed and a few weeks ago, I found myself in a situation where I was ready for something new. I was obsessed with BMWs. The 330ci to be specific. After test driving a 2001, I almost pulled the trigger. The only thing stopping me was my gut saying, "dude, youre gonna be paying out the *** in repairs."
On a whim, yesterday, I was browsing autotrader and saw this Lexi for sale. Took a test drive on my lunch break. I loved it. I started to research and realized there where nowhere near the amount of complaints and problems that the BMWs have. After learning on here (thanks!) that the 90k service can be costly, I negotiated that into the asking price, traded in the Maxima and here we are. My slick new (to me) Lexus, sitting in the parking lot, outside my office window, begging to be driven. Im excited.
Thats all.
Bye.

(Save me the "cool story, bro" comments. lol)

Congrats! Nice negotiating on doing the 90k service. Post some pics! You don't see red Sportcrosses much. Hope you enjoy your new ride. I've been enjoying mine since day 1. Any plans with it?

Thanks, guys!
No real plans. I think I got most of that out of my system with past cars. Then again, we all say that at first, dont we?
If anything, clean and simple. K&N drop in, then perhaps if suspension needs replacing, maybe do an inch drop or so. Nothing hardcore. No exhaust, thats for sure. Im enjoying the quiet for once!
Ill def post pics soon!

yeah. H&R lowered, cattman catback, injen intake with K&N cone filter, FSTB, clear turns, short throw shifter, act stage 1 clutch...other stuff too but thats all I can throw at you off the bat. It was a 98 SE. Had 180k on the clock and still ran strong. Just started looking like ***** on the interior and nickel n dime stuff started going on.

Btw, does anyone have information to the speakers on the 2002 IS 300 Cross Sport!? It is NOWHERE to be found. People talk all day long about stereo upgrades but I cant find squat when it comes to size and specs of the stock speakers...front and rear. Anyone?

Where in PA are you?
<--- Philly here... holla!

I heard that the stock speakers are pretty boss... I don't know if you really need aftermarket speakers unless yours are blown.. And if you do get aftermarket you should get really expensive ones that are really good because I think they have to make custom stuff for the doors, or something like that. I forget.

but yeah, good luck with it man
lexus' are beasts, can drive it forever.

Hey!!! Im really in a philly suburb. Right across the river from trenton, NJ. Nice to meet you!

I was asking about the speakers cause I have the 9 speaker deal. I guess one is a sub(?). The bottom end seems kinda weak though so i figured maybe an upgrade or something? Not trying to go all out. Everything up front sounds great stock. Just looking for a tiny bit of bump without compromising any room. Stock location preferred.
