Is radio/tape player
Tape: Alright so I got an is300 yesterday (I posted a pic of it on another thread). Anyway I go to put an aux tape in it and it starts playing, switches sides, starts playing and then spits it out. Any info on that?
CD player: I got a burnt cd, put it in, and the cd player ate it. Won't play it or spit it out. I contacted owner he said it won't play burnt CDs. Anything in this? Where can you buy is309 stereos in case I may have to do that? I mean I can fin them online but figured maybe someone else has been through this. Thanks guys!

You can always try to check for used ones in the for sale section, but the stock stereo in the IS300 is known to fail. I am on my third one, luckily the first two were still under warranty. I know you just bought the car, but your best bet for the long term is to buy an aftermarket stereo and install it. You can always use the search too, it can be very handy!

Eh i dunno man ive never been a really big fan of aftermarket stereos on cars, they look kinda cheap to me :/ does anybody have any they could recommend that look good in the is300? Also, the owner said "it wont play burnt CD'S"...is that for real?

Aftermarket offers extra features. I've become a fan of HD radio since I installed mine. I mostly use radio or CD. I went with a JVC Arsenal model because a) they have variable color so I can dial in something orange/red like the rest of the instruments and b) they come with gunmetal-ish trim and ****, which again I thought a better match than chrome pieces. Advice to anyone looking for a new headunit - check it out with sunglasses. Some have displays that you can't see (like some Toyota OEM units) when you wear polarized sunglasses.
