Default Repainted my front bumper

Ok, so I had multiple rock chips, and one spot where paint flaked off from pressure washing my car and I also recently hit a small animal which took a huge chunk of paint off of my bumper, I do not have any before pictures. But here is what I do have. I sanded it down with 220 grit fixed one small place with polyester glazing putty, primered it, blocked it down with 400 grit, re primered it, then blocked it down with 600 grit. sprayed it with valspar z base paint and cleared with valspar clear. did all the work myself for around $60. I will post pictures of the bumper back on the car tomorrow.

Nice work bro! I hope you plan to cover it up with clear wrap VentureShield. Protect your hard work! I recently re painted my front bumper as well then got it fully wrapped.

Thanks man! Actually I am glad you suggested that, because I hadnt thought of it. How difficult was it to rap yours, I would like to do it soon because rocks seem to love hitting these bumpers and causing rock chips.

Looks good! I had my front bumper reshot last year, but I badly need to get the front of the hood done as well. Too many rock chips and bug impacts have been touched up (probably 14 or so).

Thanks man, yes for some reason rocks love the front of these cars. I know any car can be prone to rock chips but for some reason the IS300 seem more common for them.

Thanks man, haha it does take lots of time and patience and some knowledge of what you are doing. I've been doing mechanic work for years now and just recently got into body work and painting in the past two years and have learned a lot.

Nice job man....looks solid.

Yeah, it's 100% worth it. Now that you have it freshly pained, get it wrapped and it will look new everyday. lol

Honestly, the hardest....is the front bumper. lol It's a real pain....takes a lot of time and patience. If you are familiar with vinyl wraps and such then maybe you can diy but if not, take it in and get it done professionally.

My buddies and I went on a group buy and got 5-6 cars worth of the VentureSheild full wrap. It literally took over 12 hours to do my whole hood, fenders, headlights, mirrors and whole front bumper. The bumper was by far the longest to do and toughest. In the end though....I am satisfied and happy that I am now protected....I DD my car on the highway 85% of the time. Would I do it again? Probably not....haha.

Thanks man, I will probably take it somewhere to get an estimate on it because I can tint windows and I could try to do it, but who knows how it would turn out, as you said it looks very tricky and time consuming lol.
