Default Cannot open trunk -_-

I cannot open my trunk from the inside by the lever in the car. I could open the trunk with the key manually and with the button. I think I snapped the cable that connects to the trunk? Any idea guys on how to fix this problem?

Yeah the cable might have slipped off or broken off of the lever.
Did you take off the lever let?
If you take off the lever pull the cable and see if it opens the trunk.

I have the same problem for my hood...
I just pull the cable, yeah i know.... ghetto

the cable could have broke into two, stretched itself too far, broke off the lever in the car, or sroke off the latch in the trunk. can you open the trunk with your key remote? my guess is it either slipped off the lever or the latch or broke off one of the two.

Keep it broken. It's much easier to just shut the trunk rather than have to tie the person up...

when you use the key manually to open the boot, what position is the key hole in when you remove the key from the lock??

the key hole has more than one position, the keyhole appears vertical normally and you turn the key about 45 degrees right to open....

however if you put the key in and turn it 90 degrees left and remove the key, so the keyhole is now left horizontally, this disables the lever in the car

I have the exact same issue...happened 3 days ago...but my issue is that I only have a valet key I am pretty sure it broke off at the lever and not the trunk. What is the easiest way to get to the lever to see if it is broken or not?
If it is the trunk latch part, then I guess I have to go to the dealer, but i want to see if it is the lever first.

you will have to remove some of your plastics that hold the carpet down, they just snap off and pull the carpeting back and check the lever out and etc.

^^ yep

I bet the cable either snapped off the lever (lever clip is only plastic)
or it just has too much slack (that's the prob i have with my hood.. )

So I tried taking the carpet off and all, but its tough getting to it. I gave up half way and was afraid I was going to break something. So I guess I would just leave it that way -_-
