Default have a problem...

So I went to start my car and it did nothing. the volt meter showed 8 so I swapped batteries. Now all the lights will come on in the on position and when i go to start the car it goes dead and the security light starts flashing..

Any ideas?

i got it. It was a combo of battery and terminals that were bad. My old battery read 12 volts on the meter and 8 on the cluster. Turns out it had a crack but once i replaced both the battery and terminals it fixed it. A Lexus IS300 acts crazier with a bad battery than any car ive ever seen!

well I'm glad you got it fixed. lol I know just a few months ago my battery was fine one day, then the next it started(barely) so I figured the battery was going dead and sure enough the next day it was dead. but luckily I have a manual so I can just drift start it. drift started it and got a new battery haven't had any issues with my terminals...... yet lol.....

yeah they are an easy fix though cause you can go to the parts store and buy some with the stud on one side like the factory ones.
