Default Worked on the car last Friday

Got a lot of stuff done that always bothered me about my car.
Calipers painted and windshield wipers too!!

The part where the wiper arm connects to the wiper blade was rusty looking.
And the wipers were kinda faded so I resprayed them......
Also that little wiper area below the window, the whole thing was faded from black to grey
So I resprayed that too.

I wish I would have taken before pictures, looks like night and day!!!

Front calipers done! Yay
Already did the back calipers a while ago..

IDK... something about the caliper paint job don't seem right. It looks rushed. Should've took it apart first.

could just be the way that particular color looks on the brake calipers, since they are cast iron and do have a rough casting texture, but your right probably should have took the caliper brackets off, brake pads, and brake pad shims and painted calipers on the car and the caliper brackets seperately to get better results, but still looks good!!!

looks great man, taking good care of it. the only thing I am worried about is the paint flaking from that plstic cowl piece you painted that goes below the wipers, paint doesn't stick to plastic surafaces like that too well. if you armor all it up it would have looked good for a week or two but then faded back worse and worse each time.

High temp engine block & brake caliper paint AND clear coat.

Yeah I think it was a dull black, but mine was faded so it was more grey....
But now it is gloss black, it is not noticeable... looks stock.
No one notices that I even painted anything..

But I think it looks 10 times better now even though no one notices it.
I love the fact that no one notices it....
Because it to me it means that people think it's stock and it's supposed to look like that which is what I was going for

Yeah crappy camera,
Definitely not rushed, 3 coats of paint 3 coats of clear...

I just got my caliper stickers in the mail too so I'm gonna throw those on and add 2 more coats of clear on top of that just so the stickers stay clean and fresh, and will be easier to clean and keep them white......

I was kinda thinking about sanding them smooth a little bit
(not down to the metal, just enough to smooth out the metal texture)
Really you can't see the texture unless you are right up on the brakes.
But I donno, maybe I will, maybe not. Either way it doesn't bother me.

Yeah the calipers have a rough texture as they are.
Yeah I could have taken them off, but I'm too lazy and I sprayed everywhere that's visible so that's all I care about.

Paint might fade or flake in a year.
Or maybe even over the winter
But I am putting the car away in climate controlled storage for 3 months so I donno. Even if paint does crack or something, i can easily take it off and re-paint it.

i used the brush on kind and liked it way better. but you have to take them off. And the stickers i ordered were cheap they didnt have the curve so i had to cut them apart and curve them individually what a pain...

And the sanding is a good idea ill take better pics and post now but i sanded mine down to where they are smooth it took forever but its worth it

I used a die grinder and electric palm sander on mine before painting. I also pulled the pads, shims, and clips.

i did my calipers with the G2 caliper brush on paint without removing the calipers turned out nice. theres really no need to go through the trouble of removing them or griding down the surface.
