I'm about to replace my fog lights. But are they HID or just regular bulbs? I'll go with HID 3500k for my fog lights. Is it just plug and play or I have to get a HID kit???
Thanks for help !!!

fogs for the is300 are just regular halogen bulbs size 9006 (H3 for 2003+). You could change the temp (color) of the bulb or switch over to HIDs (need a kit). I would advise changing over to HIDs, I have done this and it is baddass! good luck.

Do you think I could convert my PIAA fogs into HID?

5000k is what I had in my Mercedes and it was perfect. Above 5000k I noticed loss in light output.

Nothing will be brighter than OEM Philips D2R HID bulbs (4300k).

If you are looking for something with more color you can always go with our higher kelvin D2R HID bulbs however you do lose brightness when you go up in terms of color temperature.
