Exclamation ETC power button ???

Has anyone used that button before and seen the differences??? I have been turning it on sometimes but have not seen anythings changed as I expected.

i used to have a black onyx 04 is300 and when i cut the ect power button on it seemed like it shifted more agressive and shifted a lot faster than normal, i also thought it shifter a lot faster when in manual mode, maybe that was just me though lmao. but now i have an msm 03 5 speed so no more ect power for me lol

Would it be any effected to the transmission, I am using the automatic ..??

nope shouldn't be, its just a "sporty" feature for the is300

^^ For the IS350 it holds the gears longer, but normal mode is still faster. Dunno if it's the same for 300's

i read about this somewhere and if i remember correctly the power button just basically holds the gears longer and the snow button just keeps the engine from revving too high, i dont remember the specifics about it but I never use those buttons sooo.... if i wanna go fast i just switch to manual mode

You know you have an IS300 when you hit the ETC PWR button like it is NOS!!!

^ lolz +1. haha the ETC PWR button changes the shiftpoints to a higher RPM and gives it a firmer shift. Not like it really matters with all 215HP haha.

i read this my.is if you wanna feel the difference. cruise around 50 mph and floor it. then cruise at 50 mph again and push the button and then floor it, you should feel the difference.

all you gotta do is just floor it from a stop with it off then the same with it on its pretty noticeable

Have tried it on the free way and local streets. With ECT, it holds your gear little bit longer.. thats all.

hardly any difference than in the normal mode in my opinion.
