tokico i believe they are the manufacture that makes the oe for the is300. i know lexus uses tokico and kyb ranging from which car you have!!!! if you actually stare at your shocks long enough you should see a sticker on it with the 3rd party manufacture on it. they been switching it up a lot with the newer models. but you will be fine with the tokico blues!!!!

I believe on my 03 the factory Toyota struts are made by KYB, and KYB strust are fairly reasonable in price. The only difference between the KYB and Toyota ones is the KYB struts won't say Toyota, but it's all on what you want and what you want to spend, the tokico blues are good too though. To know if the struts are bad push down on each corner of your car and if it bounces more than two times at the max the strut is bad, it really shouldn't bounce more than once though or if you can visibly see gas leaking out of your strut then it's bad also. According to most car manufacturers struts should be replaced every 50,000 miles, a bit crazy if you ask me. Another sign that they are bad is you may here clunking noises or squeaking noises or some sort of unusual noise coming from your strut tower.

A big sign that your shocks/struts are bad:

If you're on the freeway and hit a bump, and the car does not stop bouncing right away, they are blown.

I'm pretty sure my 04 has tokicos from the factory.

thnx! would tokico blues be considered as an upgrade to my current factory ones? i have a 2002 sportcrosss. i just like to seize this chance to upgrade my ride since i have to replace it anyway.

i heard that to change the shocks, i have to yank out the rear leather seats. is that true? and usually how much does it cost for the labor...some quote me $400, some $90......huge differnce.....

I'm satisfied with my koni yellows. My friend who drove with me once said they absorbed better than most of his friend's cars

I can vouch for Bilstein struts... Very solidly built and improved the handling of my previous GS DRAMATICALLY. Used them along with Espelir springs and loved the new handling compard to da stock ride.

Here you go:
Bilstein HD (Front) F4-BE5-6048-HO
Bilstein HD (Rear) F4-BE5-6049-HO
Price was around $400 - 450.

I am not sure about the rear seats, but I did not do the work - I paid a shop to do it. If you are not handy under the hood, I would advise you do the same - good luck.
