Default I have some questions about tires and wheels

Hi, I'm still a noobie with this kind of stuff but

I have Stock lexus is300 wheels and i dont know which tein springs came with the car but its like a aprox 1.3-1.5 inch drop all around.

I want to get some wider tires on my stock rims. Whats some of the tire specs I can go with. 215s look skinny in width. Id like something wider.

I also have +3 people often in the car not including myself. If i got some wider tires will it start rubbing and do i need to roll the fenders?

and another thing is my Left- Rear wheel is starting to squeak when the car goes. The squeaking is gone when i press the brakes, but when i do step on the gas again or just let the car roll i hear the spinning squeaking sound .

Anyone have an idea of what that is?

Thanks alot!

the first thing you should decide is what you're looking to achieve. Performance, look, and most importantly, your budget. Then you can move forward.

Remember, you cant start until you know where you want finish.

Im guessing if i go wider tires ill lose performance? I leaning more towards look and looking to spend around 500-600dollars

I just recently got this car and got the brakes checked out, mechanics said it was good. But then it started making the squeaking noise..

I've seen a lot of people run 225/45/17 on moderately dropped IS300s. Some have gone 235 in the rear, but i'd say thats the max that could fit on our stock rims. I cant say for sure if it will rub or not with a full load of people in your car though. I considered 225s myself when I picked up latest set of tires.

on a side note though, not sure what tire you are looking for but i just recently found a place in socal (im in no way affiliated to them) and I got a full set of 215s hankook ventus v12s for 410 balanced and mounted. for 225s it would have been like 20-30 dollars more i think.
