Thumbs up FIGS & Daizen Steering Rack Bushing kit for the IS300!!!

I have recently been in touch with the two companies and need your help in getting this ingenuity underway. Post if you are interested in this mod/fix. There are a lot of people in forums with this issue and no one yet catering to their needs. We have two options at the moment: 1) purchase a new steering rack and installation $$$$, 2) purchase TRD bushings from Japan and have a shop press them in $$$. Unless you have all the tools to press the TRD bushings in, this is a costly fix. Daizen makes a kit for the GS and people swear by it. The kit is easy to install and a caveman could do it. They put the kit on hold for the IS community because of IS owners with big mouths and incorrect knowledge in building bushings. The issue was a while back and said to be resolved. They did not want to risk the integrity of their name because of the people that did not agree with their methods. I don't blame them from a business perspective. The bushings that are in need and the rude keyboard mechanics from the IS scene have since left. We need to show interest for this project put on individually by the two companies. Treat this post as a poll.

Little piece of the last email Daizen sent:

"We are going to go ahead with this steering rack bushing project, as you seem to be pretty straightforward with what you are saying. We do agree that the IS market is large, and we would truly like to believe that the IS is a viable market, and hopefully that holds true.

We will keep you posted as to the progress of this, and hopefully this benefits everyone involved.

Thank you

Daizen Sport Tuning"

Both companies have proven track records and its time for a bushing refresh on the first gen. Is.

WHO IS INTERESTED? WHO'S COMING WITH ME?

Personally we need a comapny that can cater to all lexus models with poly bushings.. TM and other companys are getting a bad rap.. Companys like FIGS and others who do in house fabricating should develope a bushing kit, steering rack kit, and other bushings that wear over time..

Between the GS,IS, and SC guys we all need some sort of stonger bushing..

just my .2 cents didn't mean to high jack the thread..

No worries, let me ask you... why are they getting a bad rap? TM is not the same as Daizen. Daizen has been involved in fabricating quality parts for a while. IMO they have a proven track record. I know a lot of drifters that use their parts. Figs will be catering to our needs as well, and I guess you have seen some of the things fabricated by them because they do make some nice applications for our cars. I don't care what anyone's business practice is; that's their purgative. I just want, like others, a solution that does not involve rubber. Something that will stand up to the weather, and chemicals. I can't wait until we see something from these guys.

This thread is to determine who and how many people would be interested in purchasing these
