Default My Formal Introduction

Hello IS Forums!

My name is Rob, hailing from New Jersey and I am now the proud owner of a 2001 MSM IS300. Got it for a great deal, 75K miles on the clock, flawless body and paint, 90K mile service done two weeks beforehand, for 10K. I've been a CL user for quite some time, active primarily in the 1GS, NELOC, and NEF sections. Hope to spend more time in this community, interact with great people, and overall just have a good time.

This was my vehicle until recently, my 95 GS300 Na-T:

------------------------------

And here is the new ride! I will be slowly modding the IS and keeping it more practical than the mods I did to the GS because I'm growing up and need to balance my many new responsibilities (bills, save for house, just proposed to GF, need to save for wedding, etc) with the things I want to do. Regardless though, this is my passion as it is for many of you, so I'm sure you'll see some fairly interesting/drastic changes with time ...

Onto the pics! Hosted a CL/NELOC meet at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Good time for a premiere photoshoot! Thanks Rising_Sun and EliteGS for the pics!

Could you guys give me some information as to the kit on the car? I understand the front lip is the Wald Lip, but the skirts and rear lip I'm not sure of. Beside that, mods done by the previous owner were all cosmetic and A/V directed (headrest monitors, Indash DDIN, subs, amps, caps, etc)

What mods do you think really enhance this car the best? Comments, concerns, suggestions, questions, brilliant statements?

Look it over and let me know what you think!

Congrats on the new project. I can see it'll be in good hands after viewing that GS.

Welcome!

I'm pretty sure the sides are Visage, and the rear is Carson Tuned/L-Tuned/knockoff of either of those lol.

blah blah blah, we've been talking about this how long? It looks fine as it is. When it starts to bother me, then it gets Eibach Pros, but thats it unless I can get my hands on some bags. I refuse to drive low all the time anymore, it gets suuuper irritating trying to avoid potholes in a state made of potholes in potholes.

Thanks a bunch. That means a lot. I've tried very hard to make my vehicles something I and others can appreciate. And I try not to half *** things, even on a budget.

Yeah thats the consensus : Wald front, Vizage sides, L-tuned rear.

Thank you sir! For my first mod I'm going to do the White LED cluster. I looked at your thread on it already, but I'm gonna PM you with additional questions in time.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the IS forum, I am happy you got the silver one you were looking at. I would get a intake, for a first mod, I recently got a K&N fipk, which does not trigger the cel, gives 9hp, and gives a great roar at 4-5k rpm, I just love it!

It's a P.I.T.A. to get right, but if you follow the DIY it'll look good with some patience. The screw in option just looks bad so the only way to make it look fab is to DIY by hand one by one.
