IS 300 or IS430?
Im a SC400 driver but I have a question about a car I saw today.
Ive seen IS300s with IS430 on the back? is it like a jdm thing?
The car I saw though was a IS300 wagon but the back said IS430. Can someone explain, enlighten me?

ya i read the article. it said it had a 4.3 with the 6spd getrag tranny.
and as far as poser goes. i was refering to the car that i saw on the street jackass. IT was a 2j, and he prob badged it as a 430. wont be seeing me back in the IS forums, you guys are ****in smartasses!

of course this was never released....it was a project car rod millen and chip foose designed and introduced to lexus (which ended up being an IS-F for production). TTE did something like this also.

IS430 was a project car. I thought Millen did the engine swap for his own pride and joy. I still think that the 2JZ GE is a weak motor in comparison to all the other motors that was able to fit into the IS3

There's a handful of known IS' with v8s running around, Brad Bedell has a yellow sportcross with a V8, there's a huge build thread on is300.net, he was offering his services to fellow IS owners, ya never know. Not everyone who mods their cars is on the forums or openly posting about them. You do have posers, no denying that. There was a kid around the corner from me who bought a salvaged IS and had it painted in the RMM IS430 color scheme, complete with badly done body work and missing airbags covered with "gucci" fabric, stock bumpers and no discernable power adders.
