Question Question regarding Navagation System

Can the Nav. Sys. in IS input address while the car is in motion? My 99 GS cannot do that. Also, is it difficult to use the controls behind the shifter compare to the touch screen used by other Lexus model?

Thnanks

Thumbs up

You cannot input addresses whilst in motion - but you can pick from previously marked points (home etc)

using the controls behind the stick is no problem at all - after 5 minutes, your fingers 'know' where the buttons are - and no stretching to touch the screen!

Humm...for my 99 GS, even the previous location function was disable during motion, only home function is allow while in motion. Are you sure that you can still use previous beside Home while the car is in motion?

OK - back in now!

you cannot select the 'Marked Points' option while the vehicle is in motion.

However, you can set up 5 'special' marked points, which you assisgn to five bittons at the foot of the screen.

The bottom ofthe screen has

[Home] [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

you can select the home, or one of these five destinations while the vehicle is moving.

Would it be for the Nav. Sys. in UK only. Can anyone from US answer this?
