Default Looking at a 03 is sport

I went to look at a 03 is300 today . It has 92k on the clock needs a 90k service which hasnt been done . The used car lot is asking 13,900 $ im located in ct by the way. I have a few ?'s is the sport design supposed to have red calipers or have they most likely been painted . It has a door that needs to be fixed due to somebody keying it . Between the 90kserv. and body work that it needs whats a decent offer you guys would or wouldnt make. By the way the car has never been hit nor modded. The interior looks like it has 0 miles on it . Lemme know what you guys think

The calipers were painted. Just the door is keyed? and 92k huh? The 2JZGE I6 is a great motor. Is it auto or manual?
From what I have found the price of cars like these especially can change from region to region by quite a bit. While 13k doesn't sound like that bad a price, down here in Florida, you have to find one for sale first. So, I would go to auto trader.com, and do a 500 mile search. And see what a comparable car is selling for. Then go back to the dealer with a print out if you can find one for say 12-13k, then just keep pointing at the key scratch on the door and hammer him back. And don't let him try to throw you a bunch of free crap either.
Also, check the CD player. bring 5 or 6 crappy CD's you have. Load them in and make sure the player plays them and ejects them ok. 01-03 CD players were problematic.

I went back to look at the car a second time and it has badges that say sport design is this real oem or did someone put a decal on it . Also it has the factory color matched emblems , but the front grill is beat up can i order one from lexus already painted. I was also wondering i see some oil seeping around the upper part of the time cover is this common on these cars ? could it just be a timing cover gasket ? By the way i got the dealer down to 7800 $ and a trade in worth 5 grand sounds decent for an 03 is ??

i most definitely will advise not buying this car. i did a search on ebaymotors in the hartford ct area and found quite a few IS300 for under 12k. if i were you i would continue looking around some more.
