What exactly had to be done w/ the IS harness? And by using the standalone, you don't have to deal with the ECU's relearning correct?
The IS harness needs to be rerouted completely to work. EVERY plug on the harness will connect to something, however there will be some sensors on the motor that will not get plugged. Mainly turbo sensors (IS ECU can't control them anyway) Plus if memory serves there are 2 connectors that need to be extended, TB is one of them, I can't recall what the 2nd was.

The ABS HAS TO BE RELOCATED!!!

I believe a stand alone will not have the issue with the ECU relearning. For now I'm running emanage till i get her back on the road and I've broken in the engine, ensured there are no leaks, etc.etc. But yes I will be running Haltec.

As an update, my JDM Neo L-Tuned bumper did not fit due to the IC piping, but the stock one did. I'm probably gonna fab up some smaller piping and try it again. Most likely the bumper will still need to be modified but probably not as much.

It's alive...Still got some teaking to do. The IC piping is just on, not tight. Still need to bleed the brakes and what not, before i take it out for a spin. But she sounds AWESOME!!!!

with this kind of swaps, do they drop right in?? i have been wanting to swap out my motor for a single turbo...some people had told me that you have to bang on the frame to make it fit?? is this true??

well it all depends on what 2JZ you get. There are different versions. ex.

1. USDM Supra 2JZ-GTE - Non-VVTi (the mounts do not line up, the oil pan is mid sump, you will need front sump
2. JDM Aristo 2JZ-GTE VVTi this will bolt right up. While it is not a easy drop in there is a tad bit of modification needing to be done to the engine (mainly #2 turbo, as well as some modifications to the engine bay itself.

Option 2 is your best bet as less modifications will need to be done. The oil pan is the right one, and the mounts are exactly the same as the stock GE motor.

Hope that helps.

well the wiring depends on what you decide to use.

IS ECU = rerouting the IS harness
Aristo ECU = repinning the IS harness or using aristo (headache)

i went with the IS harness. disassemble the harness and connect the injectors first, then work your way around with that.

I'm making an install doc....ill be sure and post it here too
