Default IS300 dependability?

Hey IS crew, I'm a former LS4 owner, just thought I'd drop in to see just how dependable your IS300s are. Are there many issues with the IS300? At high miles, are they still running good?

The reason I want to know is because I have a friend who is interested in a gunmetal 2002 IS300 that has 110,000 miles on it at out local dealer. They want $9,000 for it and he thinks he should go for it. I know I have had great realiability out of both of my LS400s and am pushing him to get it...

Any help would be great,

Thanks guys!

as far as issues go for the IS300 ... do a search cos this question seems to show up on here weekly

as far as dependability ... i give it an A+, even when minor things have gone, it didnt affect the cars ability to function as a car. Never been stranded, never even been threatened to be stranded, taken me thru some decently harry situations and all is well.

If the major services were done, 110k is no problem.

Provided the servicing is completed your friend should have not problem. I have beat on mine pretty good since I got it and have had no trouble. You can probably get that IS for under $9000. Good luck it should be a good bet.
