I used to put my phone in the non-tray when I first had the car, but then after a few times of ... um ... quick accelleration () & your phone ends up in the back you stop doing it.
Now it's where my radar detector is; blends in nicely.
This part is called the Inpane Tray. Toyota stopped making it a couple of years ago so you no longer can order it. Your best bet now is to check the classified section here or ebay. I was able to find one a couple months ago on ebay.

oh my car had this already....an 01. we test drove an 03 that had it too. I thought it came stock like that? Maybe the guy before me put it in I guess.... Thanks for the reply
