Default Service Recommendations: Eastern VA

Just moved to Williamsburg, VA. Closest Lexus dealer in Norfolk or Richmond. Do you think I can use a Toyota dealer for service? Anyone know a reputable independent shop in this area?
Thanks a lot,,,Bill

Yes, and I had the state inspection, oil and filter and tires rotated there. I think that they can do the basics but I don't know about something like a timeing belt/water pump.

Does anyone know if the Toyota Avalon uses a similar inline six cyclinder motor? I saw a new Avalon had a V-6.

Default toyota isn't bad idea

I've taken my car to the Toyota dealer twice and been fairly satisfied and it's definitely cheaper.
Took it for the 30K service and then yesterday had them replace the battery, drive belts and flush and replaced tranny fluid and power steering fluid.
For some of the bigger services you might want to plan on making the trip to the dealer.... they give you a loaner!

I used to own a SC400 and I took my car to Denbigh Toyota in Newport News or they also now finally have a Charles Barker Lexus in Newport News off of Jefferson which I used for one particular problem that stumped the Toyota techs. Both are located near the Patrick Henry Airport/mall at exit 255 off I64. Should be about 20 min ride for you depending on how far back in Williamsburg you live.
