I know this topic has been beaten to death on IS300.net, but since the site's down and I can't search, I wanted to check here. Anyways, here's my issue: Every time I go on a road trip (over 100 miles), I ALWAYS get paint chips and dents on my hood. Paint chips aren't that much of a problem because I have the XPEL clear bra, but I have two dents even with the clear bra...must've been a significant sized rock/object. So even though I HATE leather car bras, I think it's necessary for me to get one and only put it on for road trips.
Anyone know where I could get one outisde of my dealership? Don't feel like getting ripped off. And I'm just looking for the hood cover, don't need one for the bumper.
Thanks.

Well, there's no leather car bra.
Those things are made from vinil.
The best one you can find is made by Colgan Custom.
I just got mine a month ago (it was in design process). Just in time, because I put 3+K miles since then. Looks real tight. Solid investment.
I also bought mirror covers.
Everything totaled to $160.
Their number is 800-447-2727.
If you're gonna buy the front end mask, I highly recommend Colgan. They've been doing this stuff since the 60s.

Cool, thanks for the info. I just called them and ordered the hood piece for a little over $50. Also got the 3 day shipping, just in time for another road trip to NJ this weekend. Let's hope I have better luck this time *knock on wood*
