Does anyone have a dealer slant on this? I have heard rumors about 2002 models being in at the end of August but usually new models are late September, right???

answering my own post....talked to both Tustin Lexus and another and both said August 20 was the date they expected to have the 2002 on the floor. Also said they don't expect any shortages although I neglected to ask about availability of stick shifts.

I went to North Park Lexus here in San Antonio, and my sales rep said they dont even hvae finalized pricing. He told me they were not expecting the 2002 to be in on time, he thought they would be in around late Sept. or early Oct. . I hope this is wrong because I am waiting for my 5spd.

Satxis,
I also was told that pricing is not finalized and there is no info on that from my friend at Lexus either. But I didn't hear anything about the shortages. Was he referring to the stick? Maybe referring to the new models? I checked the Lexus site and it still says august, no changes posted there.
You and I are both hoping that they are not late. I would really hate to wait another 3-3.5 months for my baby. I will check with Tustin again and make sure about their expected delivery date. Problem with sales guys is they will tell you whatever they think will keep you coming back to buy a car. The truth is in there somewhere but who the f*%k knows where.

My dad is the Lexus of Watertown manager. I have been bugging him about the 2002 IS300's because im getting one so i've been bothering him all the time about when, how much, options, etc. He says available around third week in august, but he has no idea about options or pricing??? i just dont know how they can't know with only a couple months prior to delivery. oh well, hopefully he isn't BS'ing me
