Default voice/microphone kit

I orderd the kit to Carson and today it has arrived. So I was impatient to plug in and... nothing it doesn't work. I noticed it has a different part number 08675-00500. Anyway it seems o be a universal toyota kit. Tomorrow I will try to switch my nav to english language and report back to you. I ave a 2002 is200 from italian market.

Find out. It's for vtr plug and play. I ordered the right cable in Japan. The nav controller has a off switch that on jap Altezza is the tv switch. As soon as arrives I will test for you all and be back to report.

To the command list has to be add DVD. Is possible indeed to drive a DVD changer probably connected to the 12 pins plug. Is not clear if it shows on the screen movies. On the navigation unit is also present the 8 pins plug used for the microphone and the 6 pins probably used for a rear camera. It has 12 volts signal on ppins 1 and 6 alternatively each time you press map or off buttons on the nav controller. I ordered special wirings on the jap market that will arrive in few weeks. Any further information on this plugs are welcome.

It's not at all ugly! Do you referre to the radio or tv antenna?

Did any of you have to do anything differently to control the audio, or did it all just work as soon as you plugged it in?

Thanks in advance for any help
it depends on the radio unit installed. Infact part of the software is on the radio main board, well we could say the entire voice command logic is there. It means you have to change the radio unit and if you like the right side command layout you can swap the radio and keep your frontal part. I did these sort of swapping many times and almost every frontal buttons unit work with any radio assembly. As far as concern the tv tuner equipped cars (Altezza) I actually don't know if any radio unit can work with or just the japanese radio units.
