Can anyone who has had their IS3 out on the track comment on the performance of the push button tranny under "racing" conditions? I was holding out for a 5 speed but it seems that the local dealers may be dealing on the last of the 2001 models. Does the car handle downshifts well or should I be patient? Thanks for your input.

The e-shift is no substitute for manual but I do think it has an advantage over a normal auto. I always use the e-shift and have probably driven in normal auto mode only once. Overall I was very happy on how it did on the track..... but I would still rather have a manual

Yeah, I figured as much. I think with all of those upgrades for 2002 I think I'll hold out for the five speed.
Until they build a auto-manual a la Ferrari for us commoners, I'll stick with the stick.
