I ad a couple quick questions about lighting inside the IS.

1. Are the window switches illuminated?
2. Is the ingition illuminated?
2. Are the trunk /fuel release electric or cable operated as in a Civic? If electric, I am assuming that you can open from the key.
4. Can you operate the windows/sunroof from the key as in other Lexus products.

I am coming from a GS 300 ('94) and am used to a certain amount of luxury/conveinance features. I am trying to decide between upgrading to a 2nd gen GS3 or an IS. The Lexus literature speaks nothing of these features and searches on this forum have not yeilded anything .

1. only the main window switch panel on the driver's door lights up, just the driver's window, too
not all 4 switch is lighted, it sucks, I know

2. Yes. Amber like the rest of the dash.
3. Both gas tank and trunk are cable operated, the trunk has a power release operated via keyfob.

imho when the is3 was designed, it's totally from altezza which was not planned to be a lexus. when they decided to make it is300, they started to cram in all the gadges. and that's why a lot of stuff are designed so differently from other lexus models...
