Post warrenty void?

Hey guys I just had installed an amp and 1 12inch kicker sub in my car the car still under factory warrenty and it is also a certified per owned . I was wondering if anybody knows if this is going to really affect any part of warrenty what so ever? I called the dealership but didn't really get a yes or no answer,
so before i call up the warrenty people i wanted to see if anybody here really knew a little bit more about this? thanks for the help guys.

i don't know where the info is located, but i've read [links online in the forums] that they have to prove that the aftermarket items were at fault. they can't simply void your warranty just for installing aftermarket parts. i know someone linked the CA laws before, but i can't remember exactly where...

If what you did doesn't directly relate to the problem they have to honor the warranty. If your engine blows they can't say "you put in amp, warranty is no good. If you blow a speaker, yes.

When I had my 1998 Honda Accord, Bell Honda in Phoenix told me that my rims caused my transmisison to die!! I had only had the rims on the car for 500 miles! I called my service advisor up in Albuquerque and he even said that was the stupidest thing he'd ever heard....

Anyways - I guess it kinda just depends on who you get or ask....

believe me, they do't need to have a degree to be service advisors. some of these idiots they don't even know 1/4 of what i know about cars.

any way, other guys are right. there is a law about it to protect us. my gs4 is badly modded in some sense, but it would still be under warranty if it's not this old (passed warranty period already)
