Thumbs up VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Spoiler Arrived

Per the title, it was worth the wait. It's an extremely high-quality piece and was worth every penny. Thanks to the forum for all the tips on installation. If anyone is interested in a consolidated DIY (with credits ) I'd be happy to put one together.

I worked with Fred at VIS - hell of a guy and kept in touch the entire time. I mentioned to him if enough people showed interest here a group buy might be in order. He agreed.

Great weekend all.

Nice. The carbon has good depth. I've been looking at one for awhile.

Any idea how it compares to this one Aggieone bought off ebay? Hard to tell from just photos.

Pretty cool... Keep wax/sealant on it to slow down to yellowing. I've had a trunk from VIS that yellowed in a year

Really? I bought a cf hood from them for one if my previous cars and it held up great for years. That car was parked outside 24/7.

Spoiler looks great. I am also curious about price. I really like that it has bolts for security.

Any carbon fiber piece you get you need to have it clear coated as the gel coat they put carbon fiber is 9/10 times not UV protect ant which is why carbon will yellow. so basicly just make sure you clear coat it and you will be fine for years to come.

I don't know how it'll hold up compared to the others people are using. For me, it was OEM when the price dropped again or VIS only.

I immediately hit it with Wolfgangs 3.0 sealant, Sonax polymer aerosol and I wax every other week (p21s).

The price was 305 + 55 for shipping. I had an ordeal with an eBay vendor selling VIS parts so I went directly to VIS with my story and they worked this out for me. Full disclosure here since the price is much higher otherwise. I had a terrific experience with VIS on this, they really worked it out.

Looks great! I'd be interested in a group buy. Was install pretty straight forward? Were you able to use the existing holes?
Thanks

Yep! Piece of cake. Lined up perfectly. I used some grey silicone sealant to "seal the deal." No water penetration into the trunk whatsoever.

Bumping an old thread here, this CF piece looks great but I can't find it on their website.

Does anyone know how I can go about ordering one?

Also do I have to send them the core piece and they wrap it with CF? or how does it work exactly.
