GA: Track Night in America at AMP
Any locals that want to come, Torxuvin and I, and probably Blckbrd and Piston1047, will be hitting this up on 7/7. I don't think you need to sign up to come hang out and enjoy, but if you want an inexpensive opportunity to get your F out on the track at a beautiful road course and meet some of us fellows, come on out. There is a discount code available for $25 off as well. www.tracknightinamerica.com
Hope to see some more F's out there!

A Snell SA 2010 or SFI approved helmet. Looks like everything else is good. I would also plan for brakes and a lot of fuel. If you run your street brake pads, watch them carefully for wear. They will wear out quickly.

It's only 3-20 min sessions, I don't think it will be anything but casual, but lobux is right, get your brakes bled before hand to be safe and show up with a full tank of gas. AMP has a store attached to it (discovery parts) and if you don't have a helmet I'm sure they would be happy to fit you with one.

I didn't see anything about a tech inspection. Are they doing anything to check the cars?

I run with Proautosports since NASA wanted HPDE2 guys to automatically let the HPDE3 guys pass and wanted us to wear X's on our bumpers so the 3 guys know who the DE 2 guys were. Id have to let civics by LMAO. Since then I have switched to ProAuto and they never do tech inspections. Seems like NASA has all the little beaters and modified cars whereas Proauto has tons of very high end DDs ( new GT3s, M4s, ZL1 camaros etc) Cars are too new and stock to need inspection for the most part plus tech with NASA was just to make sure your battery was tied down, nothing in the trunk, and brake lights work. Pretty basic stuff that any driver should be checking anyway. . Everything else they simply asked you if you checked and done. I'm done with NASA . Rather be on the track with brand new cars than beaters anyway lol. All I'm getting at is don't let it worry you. Just want to let you know not all track days have tech inspection . Do your own, and have fun and be safe

I will most likely make it out. It is a do your own tech inspection sort of event. basically you sign the form and they check that you checked it sorta thing. I've been to events set-up like this before and in the end its all up to the driver anyways but they will flag any obvious issues like bald tires or leaking fluids.
