ISF vs RC F

ISF vs RC F
Did a short review of the two cars. Too bad it was raining. My '09 has no LSD so in the rain it was all over the place while the RC F was much more stable. In the dry I think it would have been closer, but in the wet I was 3 seconds a lap faster in the RC F

Very nice write up! The ISF would definitely have been a little closer to the RCF's lap time if it was a 2010 + ISF with a LSD.
How did you personally like the difference between the two?
Owners that have had both cars say the RCF is faster but does not feel faster.

That's exactly it, the RCF is faster but doesn't feel faster.
The ISF is more lively and fun to drive, it feels a lot lighter.
I felt the same with the IS350 when they launched it. The new one is clearly faster and more rigid but it lost that character a little bit.
The ISF chassis isn't really stiff enough for the power it has, but that's part of it's charm on track at least.

I drove both rcf stock and isf stock same track. Rcf handle a bit better vs stock isf. Rcf is heavier, quicker a bit, with all the tweaked and tuned that engineered did base on isf platform . But my modded isf is totally different 😊. Lighter and faster, and the LSD helps too,especially cornering,wider wheels and lighter rims. Not to mention i/h/e, the only things I wanted from the rcf are the seats 😊. That pretty much it, I love my F😍

to be fair the car you tested should have been at least a 2010 with the LSD or even a 2012 so it has the benefit of the suspension tweaks. Great read and nice write up but I think the gap would be less than half of that gap if the ISF had the benefit of the many significant tweaks it got over the years.

Unfortunately I only own 1 ISF :P
If it was dry I bet the LSD would have been a non-factor It was apparent in the rain as the car would snap sideways when I hit major puddles which was the suck, but it was still fast.

I actually like that the write up included a non-LSD ISF. Granted, it'd have been closer if he compared the best ISF to the RCF, but let's face it... of the roughly 11K ISFs sold in the US during the 6.5 year run of the car, a majority of them were the non-LSD version. Nearly half of the ISFs sold were 08s alone. So this comparison is actually more of a real world comparison for those that may currently be driving an ISF and thinking of upgrading now or in the near future.

Also the IS F was limited production car because it wasn't a highly desired model.
From 2008 to 2014 (7 selling years), less than 11,600 models were made & sold • GLOBALLY !!!!
• USA sales of IS F was under approx. 5,200 units in the same 7 years..
The RC F will sell less and the GS F even less...

Damn now I really fell like my car is special. Ive got the LSD and MRM paint. Pretty damn rare I guess . I still feel that to compare apples to apples the ISF should have had at least been a 2010, but I see the point that a majority of Fs are the non LSD types ( sadly)

Nice to know there are less ISFs sold in America than USDM MKIV Supras! Now that rocks!
