Default Waiting Game

I hate the waiting game now! Sometimes it takes weeks or up to a month (big bucks here) depending on the speed of the adjuster regardless of the company. I expect to see your car out of commission for 1 month, then who ever buys it at auction for salvage title might take a few weeks. Now it's who ever sees the parts up on Ebay will get first dibs. Good luck to you my CL OP friend. The rest of you guys, start hitting up Ebay or salvage yards.

Ouch! I'm really sorry for your loss (the rear pillar omg...this thing is definately totalled)
I'd like a crack at those wheels and both the front and rear ASF leveling arms....

Thats really not that bad and im not trying to be sarcastic or funny. New trunk, rear glass, quarter panel, door glass and some repair, front bumper cover. Im sure you had an airbag or 2 pop out as well. Parts are expensive so it will add up. But just saying that is something worth fixing for someone rather than parting out.

Im not parting the car out. I have full coverage. My insurance will pay off the car if its totaled.

There's a lot of damage beyond what you just listed. I'm confident the car will be totaled.

Sorry to the OP. I would vote that you get another ISF!

Wasnt implying that, and i actually think its not a good idea to part the car out.. that is too much trouble. And im assuming it wasnt your fault so the other guy's insurance should be the one to pay anyways.

Of course but i was listing the basic visual things. My point was that whoever ends up with it through the insurance/auction could consider repairing it because its not beyond repairable. Ive been around this stuff in the past and thats my opinion. And of course because i hate to see an ISF go to a junk yard and parted out.

Man this sucks!

Was just admiring your car the other week, and looking forward to hearing from another owner of the Novel headers!

Just really glad you are ok. Never nice when you lose your pride and joy, but cars are in their basic form just metal boxes. A metal box can be replaced. You can't.

Could have been a lot worse for you given the size and destructive capabilities of those tractor/trailer units.

Still a tragic loss to the F community.

Be careful with parting stuff out. A sharp eyed adjuster could notice from the photos you've swapped stuff over. Just don't want you giving them any reasons to underpay or delay your claim.

I'm a claims adjuster by trade!

Hope you get it sorted soon mate. Glad you're ok.

Cheers.

Peter
