Arrow California gas really sucks....

It sucks that California gas pumps only sell 87, 89, and 91 octane gas. I really want to try 93 octane on my isf and see if there is any performance gains. I'm also curious if E85 can run in our Fs or a combo of mix. Any one who did tried the difference between the two or three, can you please chime in? I like to drag race sparingly @ sac raceway so the better my times get, the happier i am.

This is no real difference with 91 and 93..... Other than bumping up your mpg rating up. I'm in Florida now I just moved here from Cali two months ago

Some stations have 93 in California, just have to look hard. Usually some independent or I've seen a 76 station in Castro Valley carry it before.

They have 91 and 94 octane here in Canada. No performance gains; at least not at the street performance level. And no, you can't run E85 on our motors.

+1. Moved to Miami last August from Cali. No real gain from going 91 to 93. At least not in the city driving

Just out of curiosity, what brand of gas do you use often on your F's? I haven't owned my F long enough but Shell seems to run better on my F.

AZ tops out at 91 as well. I think they have the higher octane in the colder areas . Not sure why some areas have higher octane available than others

I typically use Shell, but lately I've been following lobux's advice to switch it up periodically and just make sure it is a top tier standard gasoline.
