Default Oil filter question...don't hate me

Tried to order some filters for my ISF and the online vendor informed me "The catalog part number is 04152-51010 but that supersedes to YZZA4."

Is this accurate I've read a few threads but they were dated back in 09. Sorry to bring up old dirt for you veteran drivers.

This may sound crazy, but from now on I'm using the Baldwin 7406.

I've been closer than most to Toyota's procurement procedures. They buy from anyone that will make the product their way. That is good to a point, but since they change their suppliers frequently you can never be sure and truthfully, I don't think it makes a difference.

However, Baldwin has a great reputation and builds a consistently great product. I've purchased several different filters for the F and the Baldwin seems to be the best built. Buy them on the internet and by the case and the cost is good.

I just use a generic one by STP or Fram. It's dirt cheap and does the job well.

I have been unable to find a 51010 since late last year. The YZZA4 appears identical in every way. I should have taken a picture when I was comparing them, but I put the 51010 in the car recently.

As info; if you shop right you can find them for about $4. Lexus dealer list is like $11.
