Default Seat Bolster Repair Before/After

Tired of the outside of my car looking in near perfect condition and the driver's seat looking like worn so I found a mobile leather repair guy and decided since his price was very fair I would try it out. Came out pretty good I think. Funny cause he had never seen an F before but commented that he was surprised at how cheap quality the material Lexus used in the seats for such a nice car. I told him I say the same thing all the time.

Looks like a nice job, especially on the alpine which shows everything. Did he just spray it?

Not 100% sure what his entire process was. He spent about 3 hours on the front seat and passenger side back seat. My daughter's car seat made some indentations in the back seat and he got those out nearly perfect. I was in the house watching my 8 month old daughter so I didn't go outside and watch all he did. He did have some sort of super fine sandpaper or something attached to a buffing tool so I'm guessing he sanded the cracks down smooth before he resprayed them.

Shoot, I just got alpine white interior in the same condition and have been looking around to getting it fixed like that! Would you mind sharing the price of what you paid. Through PM or here.

No prob Josh. It was $175 to have driver's seat done and rear passenger seat fixed with the indentations of the baby seat and dark marks that the baby seat left that I couldn't get out. I should have put towel underneath car seat when I first installed it, lesson learned. He also did the front passenger seat but there were only minor cracks in it so that didn't take him long to fix.

I found my guy on Craigslist. He works freelance for a bunch of car dealerships repairing their car seats. He was about 2 weeks backed up to get to me so I figured that was a good sign that he does good work.

I went to a shop and had mine done.. lower and upper bolster for $200. It looks good but certainly doesnt last all that long. After a year the creases are back, although certainly not as bad.

Looks sprayed. There looks to be some overspray also.
Just be advised, you need to ask how they do the treatment. If they spray, they will spray over the threads, which will change the color to white(all the threads are blue).
