Default Mods.. vendors etc .....Introduction

Hello everyone.

Make a long story short.. My Name is Mark I owned a 2009 Lexus ISF that i for some reason traded in on a 2011 Cadillac CTS-V. Finally... after 3 years and 5,435 miles (yes those miles are correct) I am getting my IS-F back. I cant wait to see this Cadillac gone.

A 2011 Ultrasonic Blue Lexus IS-F to be exact with 15,000 miles

So i wanted to get a few links for vendors that sell some upgrades.

All i have been able to find are a Joe Z intake and exhaust, K&N Intake, borla exhaust

Anyone have a good site for wheels and tires?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. (yes i did go through the 7 years of mods sticky)

Thank you!

Would u elaborate on the problems u had with ur CTS-V? I was looking into trading my 2011 F in for a 2012 or newer V but I have had some second thoughts.

nothing was wrong with the V. While they are very easy to mod (Mine makes 649rwhp) it just isnt my cup of tea. The IS-F feels more open to me... and not as big as the V. Probably doesnt make sense me saying it but that's my take. If be more than happy to sell you mine

If you do get a V get a wagon with recaro seats (if you like them) - they are rare and about the only one that will hold value over time.

I was originally about to trade my F for a V coupe but it won't be practical with having a baby seat in the back of a 2 door car. I know wagons are the rage with the V guys but I'm not a fan. If I trade the F it will be for a 6 speed manual V sedan but they are very hard to find.

Congrats on the USB, and welcome back to the F family! For wheels and tires, there are some vendors that sometimes run special pricing for forum members, so look out for any announcements or new threads on that. Because most of the parts are either discontinued or completely sold out, for performance parts, it wouldn't hurt to check the classifieds from time to time as well. Many times there are some great deals to be had from part outs and those looking to go a different direction with their builds.

Enjoy this F to the fullest!

haha came back to the dark side. As for where to buy some mods you need, hit up ModinJapan and say Josh sent you, I know he has some Joe-z exhausts in stock!

Precisely this. the wagon is awe-inspiring
and also weighs a few gigatons, but I truly love it regardless (6speed only--the autos on them aren't that great anyway).

Welcome back! I've had fine experiences with vipautosalon, but most have not. So I wouldn't recommend them on that basis.
Headers: contact figs or JE
Exhaust: mr. Joe Z/custom mandrel bent/google away at meisterschaft or ISS
intake: stock/joe z/hps

Let me know if you ever need anything I'd definitely say you need a Joe-Z Intake and Exhaust to get started!

Hello and welcome. The community is pretty reasonable so post up and ask questions and do a good search around on product reviews. We (FIGS) try to be a one stop shop reselling the things we would want on our F as well as manufacturing the parts that people cannot find.
We currently carry:
-Nearly every bushing for the F.
- Brake upgrades from rotors and pads to full BBK upgrades.
- We make suspension links and offer setup advice.
- We offer one off coilovers from Penske and Ohlins specifically tuned for the F.
-Are your best source for PPE for headers and the new Dual mode exhaust.

Feel free to contact us as you get more experience with your car.
Mike
