this is what a guy posted on the FB page....

"I recently purchased TMC Motorsport (UK) Transmission software update for my Toyota 86 and I was amazed on the performance it gave. TMC Motorsport is available for most cars and its sold by Tommy Teng of DTM Motorsports.
Initially, i was skeptic about reflashing the transmission due to the fact that it would be "something off the shelf." After reading and doing more research about this product, I decided to give it a try.
It took less than 10mins for the software to be uploaded on my car and after that my car was back on the road for a 200km "learning" mode. I was asked to make "upak" & also drive it like i normally would on a daily basis. As soon as I drove the car home from DTM, I immediately felt the quick response of the transmission even on "D" mode. Shifting was more immediate, responsive & this gave my car the impression on as if I was on a dual-clutch system.
Driving under "D" mode on a normal day doesn't seem to have any drastic changes from the original parameters, its when you step on the gas pedal and go through the whole rev range that's where you feel it. Smooth, crisp shifts automatically and it holds all the way through the rev range and switches right before redline.
Driving under "M" or paddle mode, allows quicker and more responsive shifting when i pull on that right "+" button.. I feel that the response of the transmission is more immediate as compared to the stock parameters and this goes the same with the "-" button.
For those looking into a more torquey & responsive transmission , look no further, TMC is the product for you, that smile on your face everything your head throws back on the seat will leave you wanting for more.."

It sounds like BS.... it seems like it is a similar product to the engine flash that Vividracing was selling.

sounds like more like a throttle controller increasing input of the current type of situation. I wouldn't use my car as the test bed before I had validated proof that it works. And beside..do you guys understand how fast 100 milliseconds are..not sure we would benefit or tell any difference if there was one..lol

The transmission reflash always scares me as it seems it would put more stress on the transmission leading to premature wear. I understand they can reprogram most transmissions to shift faster and be more responsive but at what expense?

My sentiments exactly when it comes to high end parts replacement... 'at what expense'?

Not everyone has one of those spare eBay transmissions stashed on a shelf!
