Why the Michelin Pilot Super Sport is the best tire currently for the ISF
We have all seen the videos on production and design. We have seen the TireRack comparisons. And many of us own a set and love them. Well I am here to report one more MASSIVE reason ........... The warranty !! Some people on the forum have been waiting to see if I would be able to have my tires replaced under warranty. I am happy to report that I ordered a fresh set and that discount tire gave me the mileage warranty on my rear tires. My front were still pretty good but just cupped on the edges so I opted for a fresh set all the way around .
So as long as the wear is even and it's all the way down to the indicator bar we are golden !! So wether you commute in your F or beat the crap out it we can have tires replaced under warranty. The warranty is a prorated set up and is only 15k miles since the F has staggered set up. Imagine if we had a square set up they would warranty for 30k miles !!! Crazy . Michelin is the best and this is simply one more reason to add to the list

pretty sure they will not cover if its unevenly work. In fact that seemed to be as important to them as the wear down to the indicator. My car wears the rears surprisingly even. The fronts have uneven wear slightly from the dynamic alignment issue of the ISF under hard braking, but even then I measured and its less than 1.2 mm difference between the outside and inside of the fronts.
Im so damn happy with my Michelins and my F for that matter

Nice to hear about the warranty, but I'm sure the savings are minimal cuz they normally discount ur new set from MSRP pricing... But I might be wrong.
On a different note, michelin is now offering 70$ off on purchase of 4 tires.

about 7300 miles
They will never warranty the front because they dont wear even ( unless you have FIGS LCA) but the rears you basically get one of the 2 free and I bought new fronts. Still better than nothing .

Damn, that's pretty cool. I don't track my car, but Its my daily driver. My F came with Toyo Proxes, which are nice and soft but I don't feel planted or feel the F has grip to take off. I gradually have to step on the gas for a smooth take off from a ditch. I feel if I take off hard I'm gonna loose the tail very bad. For daily driving the Proxes are perfect, but for extreme accelerated performance, I don't get the feedback confidence handling from them. I will definitely consider the PSS for my next set and go as wide as I can with stock 2011 OEM wheels.

Had PSS' put on about a month ago and have been loving them. Gotta keep an eye on rocky streets as the grip of these tires pulls up rocks like mad!
They were of particular assistance when I ran into an m235i late last night on IL RT12. >=)
Didn't know about the warranty - good news.
