Next Gen IS F

as of now there are no plans for another ISF. Probably one of the more idiotic moves Lexus has made in the last few years , BUT the GSF has the RCF motor so they will not make an ISF that will eclipse the big dog GSF. What they should have done is manned up and boosted power to 500 plus on the GSF and created the 2nd gen ISF

Until there is another more powerful motor for the GSF there can't be another isf. They painted themselves into a corner here. The need another F'able motor for the GSF . I'm not holding my breath .

I heard that the 2UR-GSE won't even fit in the current gen IS engine bay. I hate to perpetuate hearsay, but it kind of makes sense to me seeing as how they used the GS front end on the RC-F to accommodate the bigger engine.

Third Generation ISF rumors
Does anyone have any rumors on this yet? I can't imagine with an RCF and GSF that Lexus wouldn't plant it's wonderful completely redesigned (same block) V8 into the IS.
I thought I wanted the ISF until my friend got his new Orange Carbon RCF this weekend. The tech, interior and even exterior is just light years ahead of the current ISF. I didn't think the ISF looked particularly old until I sat and drove around in the RCF. Then the ISF just felt/looked......blah.
I like the Third Gen IS styling, anyone hear if they're planting the V8 into the IS for 2017?
My theory is they want to sell their higher end RC GS first before they offer that beast in the lower IS.

Count me as the opposite. I had an IS250 F-Sport rental while my IS-F was in for a belt tensioner replacement.
Not sure if the RC-F interior is similar but I hated the 3rd gen interior. Weird sharp angles blended with soft curvy shapes, materials felt "cheaper", it also felt cramp inside. Not sure if it's an effect because everything seems to stick out and come at you.
The Navigation screen was a HUGE downgrade compared to the 2nd gen IS HDD based system. The UI was slow to respond felt like I was using a 1st generation Android phone. The graphics looks like it went back to early systems of the late 90s.
The only thing I liked was the steering wheel and the cool tech gauge cluster.
