All the other performance sedan boards (M3, CTS-V, C63) like to make fun of us ISF owners for constantly bringing up reliability when we discuss the pros of our cars versus the competitors, as if that's not a real thing. Not only is it a real thing, it may be the most important. Now I know I'm preaching to the choir, but there's nothing more annoying then having a car that you're always afraid is going to break down on you or send you to the shop. I had that experience with my 335i and I had that experience with a turbo S2000. I hated it.

So, I'd say go for it, but only if a.) you plan on getting rid of the car before it falls out of warranty, and b.) if you're not going to mod it to the point where you end up prematurely voiding your warranty. So if you want to experience the ridiculous amounts of power that car makes in stock form along with the 6 speed manual, I get it. It's a better performer than the ISF stock for stock, and the modding potential is there. But I wouldn't own one out of warranty, personally. A friend had an earlier model and had his entire supercharger replaced (warranty). I can't imagine that repair bill.

The only thing in this price bracket and car segment that I would buy is a newer ISF.

The V is a great car.

The LSx series of motors are reliable and can make serious power for cheap.

I never liked the coupe, it reminded me of a door stop.

Yeah the coupe back end is way to high and looks like a shopping cart. The 4 door looks a lot better, but my favorite if I had to own one over the F would be the wagon. They are sexy. My buddy has a 4 door and its putting down like 600rwhp, but I still can't get over the looks of the car. It just doesn't do it for me. I mean the 6-speed gearbox is sweet, but there is a reason cars like the GTR went to an auto and paddle shifters because its faster than a human can shift a manual gearbox.

I wanted a V wagon but they are hard to find, I do have a couple new Newer GM products and I will say at first they seem appealing but after a few months they just seem junky. Clunks and bangs that are "supposed to be like that" on our brand new Acadia Denali is disappointing. The service/ownership experience is brutal as well, I have the "free service" until 2019 every time I take it in they try to sell me a $100 inspection and when I turn it down they threaten to void my warranty because with an inspection they may catch something before it's an issue.... I will never own another GM product just because of the way you get treated.
