I'm pretty certain I could say the same thing about my Supra. What's the point here?

Oh, wait, it has 156k miles on it, and it still makes great power.

Definitely more to the story than they listed with this car. A forced induction car won't make 640whp(as claimed on the page) without a bunch of other stuff. It's not as simple as tune/turbo/tires

Definitely. But to get those kind of numbers on a 335 is very impressive. You gotta give credit where credit is due.

MOTIV 750 - E50 Dyno @ Black Market Racing - YouTube

And if you think he did that on anything less than 100 octane you're kidding yourself. 3 liters is 3 liters, and you need a certain amount of cylinder pressure to make that kind of power. You can't make that kind of pressure on 91 or 93 octane. It might be "pump" gas, but the pump said 100 octane. I've been present at more than one dyno day where someone claimed to be making a whole lot of power on "pump" gas and when the truth came out, it was 100 octane unleaded.

I would assume that the bigger feat would be to design a great car that doesnt brake down all the time. With a tune those cars are a nightmare.

This is what many people don't understand. What fun is a car when you constantly have a thought in the back of your mind lurking: when's the next time I'm picking up a loaner?

I had a 335 FBO and ran 50/50 mix. I would consistently run low 12's. 12.2 was a typical time for me.
The car ran good for about a year, then misfires and random shirt made me want to get rid of the car. Adding RB turbos with a good tune the car is a monster.

I'd run a M3 before I run a tuned 335. My buddies 335 is a 450-500rwhp beast. Nothing will replace Lexus reliability and V8 sound though.
